If you've been listening to this show for any amount of time, you've probably heard Nick talk about the band Avail. They're an amazing punk rock band out of Richmond. Stories about Avail shows have been on multiple episodes of the podcast.

Well Nick got to sit down with Tim Barry, the singer for Avail and shoot the shit about all kinds of things, including one very special announcement.

If you go back and listen to episodes 46, 47 & 48 you'll hear Jason Hobbie and Baeu Butler share many stories that overlap with the ones told here.

Tim has been performing solo for many years now, too and shares some interests with Nick that make this a truly fun and interesting listen. Hope y'all enjoy it.

Shop Talk wraps up the conversation with Nick, Porter & Andrew.

Nick brings it back to the local scene with excellent friends of the podcast and Alley Cat Tattoo. Jeff Guinn is the singer for Aggrocrag and printer of many fine t-shirts and other things. Grant Penrod fronts Crab Action and takes care of business in Rocktown. Both local bands have huge followings and fun histories and it's all talked about on this episode. Andrew Conner hangs out and shares his experiences with the bands and everybody remembers the beginnings of MacRock, the yearly music event that kicks ass in H-burg.

Go to macrockva.org to find out all about it.

Shop Talk gets back in the groove with Nick, Andrew and a newly returned Mr. Chris Porter. Enjoy, y'all!

While Nick & Richie were at the hotel across from the Philadelphia Tattoo Convention this year, Jason Goldberg returns for another episode of NLJBS. He's local at Olde City Tattoo and also owns the Black Vulture gallery in Philly. Along with Goldberg is Joey Knuckles out of Columbus, Ohio where he owns three shops.

There's a ton of shit-talkin' and stories that span all the topics you might expect from this crew. And just a lot of fuckin' around in between. Buckle up and check it out!

Also, you're in for a Shop Talk treat as Mr. Chris Porter brings you a remote special from San Fran where he lets y'all hang out with another NLJBS alumni: Jill Bonny Horiyuki and Chris Wielk, both from Studio Kazoku where Porter was visiting. It's almost a bonus episode as they go deep into some San Francisco history and tattooing and a whole lot of Japanese tattoo talk. It's amazing. Great job, Tats.

It's a yin-yang of podcast all in this episode. Enjoy.

Nick & Richie leave Alley Cat and Harrisonburg to travel up to the Philadelphia Tattoo Convention, but don't set foot in the convention hall. Instead they grab a room and grab some episodes.

Things kicked off last week with Sailor Eddie and they keep cruisin' along with NY tattoo artist Rich Fie who has some excellent bullshit and some interesting friends and even a podcast of his own called the Neighborhood Knuckleheads. Check it out and check this out.

Shop Talk ties right into the episode with Nick, Porter & Andrew, the usual suspects.
