Jimmy P is touring with the band Lucero right now and they all happened to find themselves in the Friendly City of Harrisonburg, Virginia. You've heard Jimmy on the last few Shop Talks so now you get to hear the episode that led up to that guest appearance. There's a lot of great tattoo history and punk rock musical history discussed on this one, so we know you're gonna love it. And now we're keepin' it going with the Shop Talks, so stick around afterward to join up with Andrew and Porter to discuss amazing tats.
While attending the Aachen, Germany Kaiserstadt Tattoo Expo recently, Nick got the chance to sit down with German tattoo artist Alex Reinke for a while and it was an incredible conversation. Alex has a shop in London, but was attending the convention and the stories and topics ran real deep on this one. Lots of intense tales of tattoo journeys and love and a big dose of opinions and laughs to go right along with the serious bits. You're not gonna want to miss out on this one. There's even another edition of Shop Talk with Andrew and Porter to follow the episode. Those are always fun, so enjoy.
Henk "Hanky Panky" Schiffmacher has been tattooing longer than most of us involved in the show have been alive. While attending the Kaiserstadt Tattoo Expo in Aachen, Germany at the invitation of the wonderful Mr. Andreas Coenen, Nick had the opportunity to do his first ever podcast with a live studio audience. It was a brilliant experience as it was with the one and only Hanky Panky. It's an interesting, winding, often diverging story of history and family and the state of tattooing and there's even a Red Hot Chili Pepper or two thrown in for good measure. All in all, this is a fascinating episode that not only you won't want to miss, but you'll be longing to travel to Amsterdam and visit this legend in his shop.
